Just thought I'd share with folks now the hype has died down a bit!Īlso a few original hardware ones on ebay, worth a look! Wish I had got the plugin the second I sold the hardware now, just used it on a quite lofi indie pop album where the vocals aren't mixed well in context with the low end of the guitars and there are some pretty bad intelligibility issues and it worked on every track of the album within a dB or two of low mid cut, mid boost, air band. The legit PA version had the sort of extending up into the distant frequencies excitation I remember from having a hardware copy cat where you can do 1dB at 40 and it puts all the stereo pingy stuff which makes the LR sit right at the top back in where it had been lost in the mix. I couldn't believe how fast I got the results with the PA version compared to the freebie and I did some like for like comparisons and the bass measures a dB or so out pretty quickly and the top end, although measuring the same, sounded completely different. I was stuck the other day and was using the free Luftikus (sp?) plugin to do this and couldn't quite get there, so I re downloaded the Plugin Alliance demo for the EQ4 and EQ2. I sold my Nightpro clone in harder financial times and for years I missed it when a track felt lumpy in the low mids and not present enough, especially rock and pop music which has been mixed in a small room I find this happens a lot.
